Compare suppliers
on the terms that matter.

Every wholesale supplier looks good on its home page. The differences show up in the terms: what you must order, what you can verify, what you pay up front and what happens if a piece is wrong. This is the checklist we would use ourselves — with our own answers, so you can hold us to them.

Three kinds of supplier.

Most retailers buy from one of three kinds of supplier, and each has a place.

  • A catalogue distributor holds a very wide range from many makers and ships quickly from stock. The trade-off is usually a higher price per piece, because the distributor's margin sits on top of the maker's, and you rarely deal with the people who made the piece.
  • An importer or agent sources from workshops on your behalf. It can open doors to custom work, but you are a step removed from production, and quality depends on how closely the agent manages it.
  • A factory-direct manufacturer sells what it makes. Prices are closer to the workshop's own cost and custom work is ordinary production, but the range is the maker's own, and the terms vary a great deal from one maker to the next.

Ten questions to ask any supplier.

Ask these before the first purchase order, and get the answers in writing. A supplier that answers all of them plainly is easier to trust than one that won't.

  • What is the minimum order — per style and per order — and which styles carry a higher one?
  • Who certifies the diamonds? Natural and lab-grown stones are usually graded by different labs; ask which, and whether certificates come with the goods.
  • How is the price built? Can you see the gold value under a quote?
  • What is due up front, and when is the balance due?
  • Which pieces are in stock, and which are made to order?
  • How does the order ship, is it insured, and who pays duties on an international shipment (the Incoterm)?
  • Can you return unsold or faulty pieces, and on what terms?
  • Is there a warranty, and what does it cover?
  • Can you buy a sample first, and is its cost credited to a later order?
  • How fast, and how, does the supplier answer a quote request?

Our answers, on the record.

These are Bhazen Diam's terms, each published on the page linked below. We would rather you compare us on them than on adjectives.

  • Minimum: one unit on most styles; a few carry a higher minimum, shown on the product page. Volume pricing begins at 10, 50 and 200+ units.
  • Certification: natural diamonds by GIA, lab-grown diamonds by IGI, certificates on request.
  • Price: every quote is built against the gold spot price per gram we publish on the gold price index.
  • Payment: a 50% deposit buys the gold and books the order into production; the balance is due before it ships.
  • Stock: the 2026 Collection ships quick from New York with a selection in stock there; the Design Library is made to order in Surat.
  • Shipping: FedEx Overnight Priority, fully insured and tracked; international shipments are DAP.
  • Returns and warranty: orders are final sale; we repair our own craftsmanship free of charge.
  • Samples: available, paid and non-credited.
  • Answers: within two hours on WhatsApp and email, weekdays.

Questions Buyers Ask

Is factory-direct always cheaper?
Not always piece for piece, but it removes a layer of margin, and it makes custom work ordinary production. Compare the whole terms — minimums, deposit, returns and shipping — not just the unit price.
Why do returns policies differ so much?
Stock-holding suppliers can resell a returned piece; makers producing to order usually cannot. That is why we sell final sale and offer paid samples instead: you check a piece in hand before you order at volume.
What should I get in writing?
The minimum order, certification, payment schedule, shipping terms and Incoterm, returns and warranty, and whether samples are credited. Our trade rules page states each of ours in one line.
